Celebrating a love of English with a medieval day

Medieval Day - 24th November 2023

The children celebrated all things 'British myths and legends'. Supporting learning to create a variety of writing:

• Description of a dragon
• Wanted posters
• Invitations to attend a castle
• Narrative writing
• Instructions
• Comic strips telling a story
• Biography writing
• Autobiography as King Arthur

The children enjoyed coming in to school in their very best medieval costumes with themed activities carried out in each class for example creating illuminated letters, 'stained glass windows' and many more.
